Sorry but it's PROUD MOMMY time!

I know I know, get-a-blog, BUT.... I have to take a minute here to be a proud mommy.

My daughter is in 3rd grade and she's had speech problems since she was in kindergarden. Luckily our school system is fantastic and offers amazing help to the kids. She has had ALOT of extra help over the past 4 years.

So fast forward to today. She brought home her report card. She went from a C+ to an A+ in Spelling! That's a huge step since your speech needs to be good in order to spell words correctly. She has come such a long way since kindergarden. I am so proud I can't see straight right now. She has worked SO HARD and all of her teachers even tell me that she's a hard worker.

*sniff*

I am going to do something a little special for her. Maybe take her to Friendly's the next time Daddy's away

I don't mind it, for the most part (depends on the person and posting habits, ya know). Helps us get to know each other.

I was in special speech classes until grade seven.. I still can't spell very well (another story) but did well enough..

Much love to your little girl Tammy!!! I know what it's like to have children that need just that extra little bit of help. She should be so proud.

Make sure do give her a big hug and tell her how great she is. And take her out for a big Jim Dandy!!!
