...which is a decompression program for .7z files.
I have a .7z file that I tried to decompress with unTar. I drag it to unTar, it says it's decompressing the file, but then nothing happens and I can't find any uncompressed files on my computer.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

I know of this site that has a downloader for .7z files: www.7-zip.org/They created the file format, so I'd assume it's safe. But if your file is corrupt and came from the downloading frenzy of the last few days at dd.com, maybe someone else could hook you up. Else you can go into your history, find the link from where you downloaded it, and do it again.

Sadly though, 7zip is a Windows only program and I'm on a Macintosh running System OS X 10.2.8. unTar looks like it's working, I just don't see any unzipped files anywhere. I'm not sure where it's putting them and a search reveals nothing. Ack!

But when I download the file it gives me a folder of documents but no program. There's a document in there called rar but it doesn't say it's a program. Hm...do you know what "Command Line Only" means? I confess to being kinda dim about these sorts of things...
