I really liked this album--it gave us some gems with Box full of Honey and the Valley but this song is a true gem--Duran has to play this song live on AYNIN tour..so beautiful!

RCM isn't a bad album. I listen to it more often than Pop Trash. From the moment I heard that DD was working with Timberflake I knew it would be a BAD idea. Timbaland doesn't know how to work with a band. Let's hope Mark Ronson produces the album that will start in 2013.

I like RCM. It's a good album, not necessarily a classic. My favorites are Skin Divers, The Valley and Dirty Great Monster. FD and Nite Runner are quite enjoyable too. The ones that I don't like very much are Zooming In, Last Man Standing and Tempted

it's bad precisely because of songs like this who could be great and absolutely deserve a new arrangement because the one they got was pretty awful, and songs like nite runner and skin divers which are simply awful all around. I can't fathom how some of you can actually listen to them, let alone like them! it's the proof that there is an audience for everything I guess. there are, what, three songs in there which are ok to me - the valley, falling down and box full of honey. the latter is proof of an absolute messy editing of the album - just listen to that beginning, that cannot be on purpose. regardless, this will be one of those typical never ending duran fans discussion ;D

I really like RCM apart from Falling Down which i took off my mp3 player. RCM is so much better than Astronaut. As an experimental album i think it worked but next to AYNIN it sounds a little weak.

I actually like RCM more than Astronaut.
Both are good albums but where RCM has really grown on me Astronaut hasn't. RCM sees the band experimenting while on Astronaut they try too hard to recapture their old sound. Astronaut (for me) is at it's best in the last five songs, especially Chains and Still Breathing. But songs like Nice, Bedroom Toys, Want You More!, Taste The Summer and Astronaut don't leave a big imperssion on me. Not bad songs but not killers either. And like with SENM on Pop Trash this album has another "let's try to re-create Ordinary World" moment in What Happens Tomorrow which sees the band trying too hard to compose another smash hit with a rock ballad.
RCM took a little getting used to and also has it's flaws (Tricked Out, She's Too Much) but I like the flow of the album and really like some of the lyrics (Falling Down, RCM, Skin Divers and Zoom In).
For me All You Need Is Now represents what they were hoping to achieve with Astronaut. AYNIN is, for me, the best DD album of the 2000's.

Love RCM! This album produced some of my fave tracks (The Valley, Box Full O Honey, Skin Divers, Tempted & She's Too Much). Has a great contemporary sound from a classic band.

I liked Skin Divers, "Honey", She's Too Much, NR and FD. See, I tend to go for the ones which show off Simon's voice. Would love to hear him sing some of those again, now his voice is so good

I consider it an average album. It's got some good songs (I like the Valley, Zoom In, Tempted, Box Full O Honey). But it also has what I consider the absolute worst songs ever written by anyone in the history of music: Nite Runner and Skin Divers. I am appalled, embarrassed, and ashamed that Duran are not only associated with, but actually responsible for those abominations.
I am so relieved they redeemed themselves with AYNIN, which I think is superior in every way. Not even close.
