We all know they deserve it but probably will never be inducted (unless against all likelihood this album does actually become a smash). Nevertheless it won't make me love Duran Duran any more or any less; I have got a lot of other things to fret over in life rather than worrying about whether a pop band is going to be made a member of a group or not

This is the part that grabbed my attention: "There are significant benefits to induction, both emotional and financial: Sales of Fleetwood Mac albums increased 600 percent when it entered the Hall in 1998, and after their inductions, Wanda Jackson and Roy Orbison had lion-in-winter renaissances." I agree about how narrow-minded and egotistical these guys at RNRHOF are, but on the other hand, no publicity is bad publicity.

This is the part that grabbed my attention: "There are significant benefits to induction, both emotional and financial: Sales of Fleetwood Mac albums increased 600 percent when it entered the Hall in 1998, and after their inductions, Wanda Jackson and Roy Orbison had lion-in-winter renaissances." I agree about how narrow-minded and egotistical these guys at RNRHOF are, but on the other hand, no publicity is bad publicity. On a brighter note, I had to look up "lion in winter" and now know what it means... sort of!
