Don't forget the price of the venue...and travel expenses...

I'd go $500-750 but we'd really have to have a set list influence. We only got one song at the last fan show.

I would think the cost is way way higher than 500K. That will be their fee which may or may not include PA and entourage salary. But it will definately not cover travel expenses, hotel nights, the cost for booking a venue, local security, ticket admin, insurance and what have you. If you book them, they will play the usual greatest hits, as they will not rehearse rarities for a corporate show.
There is a reason bands tour with a show rather than do one-off concerts.

Ha! 'Stir it up' mixed in with 'The Chauffeur'..now that's funny Coolbarn!!! Your posts really make sense until you go and spoil it with a duff!! Lol Hey don't laugh just yet Skinburn! We were going to do a cover of The Chauffeur because it was my brother (bass player) and mate's (lead singer and rhythm guitarist) favourite Duran Duran song, and they thought they would throw me a bone (I was possibly the only drummer in a reggae band in history to list Duran Duran as their favourite band!). That was until my brother badly broke his finger playing football, and because it was bent at a weird and ungodly angle he sadly had to stop playing the bass guitar altogether. And if we couldn't play together, then the entire band decided we wouldn't play at all. We had been looking for a keyboard player without any luck, and didn't want to start looking for a bass player as well (it wasn't easy finding decent reggae musicians in Brisbane 20 years ago). So sadly we never got to reconstruct The Chauffeur in all of its reggae-y glory, but I guarantee it would have kicked arse! Somehow knowing you're the drummer in a reggae band makes your handle name make perfect sense!

I'll have Rio minus Save a Prayer first half, second half all of AYNIN except Safe and an acoustic encore of: My Antarctica, Winter Marches On, Still Breathing, Come Undone and, to finish, Save a Prayer with AT on guest harmonies (find AT and Simon playing SAP on Canadian TV on YouTube -awesome)

There's definately a list of songs that I DON'T want to hear should I be paying big money for a fan show. These include Rio, Save a prayer, Is there something I should know, Girls on Film, The reflex, Sunrise, What happens tomorrow, Ordinary world, everything off Liberty apart from Serious, everything off Big Thing except All she wants is, everything off Medezzaland except Electric Barbaralla, the whole Pop Trash, RCM, Thank You. I also don't care for songs like Secret Oktober, Khanada, Still breathing, Leopard, Virus, AYNIN, Girl panic (at least live).
Songs I would ike to hear are Anyone out there, Late bar, Sound of Thunder, HLTW, New religion, Union of the snake, New moon, Crime and passion, Wild boys, AVTAK, Notorious, Vertigo, Skin trade, American Science, Come undone, Love voodoo, Nice, Taste the summer, Being followed, Cracks in the pavement, Planet earth, Careless memories, Beautiful colours. And the new album of course. Winter marches on would not be the first song that comes to mind on my favourite set list, but would not mind hearing that one live again (went to Big Live Thing in 1988).

There is a reason that Violence of summer was never a hit...it's one of the worst songs ever recorded by a pop group.

Go and wash your mouth out Oakey!! Yeah, that's weird, because normally Oakey makes a lot of sense. But calling Violence Of Summer one of the worst songs ever recorded by a pop group gives Australians a bad name! And that's normally my job. Or Shane Watson's
