there is a difference in the mixes (a bit subtle to me) and as the lights go down is probably closer to the long-form video version I guess? The audio for both should be available on Itunes, Spotify. There is a digital release for each title if you search.

Hi question this is different form both arena and as the lights go down where can I get the full audio ? It appears on a bootleg titled Save A Prayer, it has a photo on the cover of slb live circa 1989 duranduran.fandom.com/wiki/Save_A_Prayer_(CD)Just to clarify, when you mean full audio, do you mean full gig? I’ve never heard the full gig in good quality but feel this bootleg is very good and way better than regular bootlegs I had posted a better YouTube clip of it on this fanboard but can’t seem to find it nor anywhere online it is on this fanboard somewhere I’ll continue to search 🔍

Hi question this is different form both arena and as the lights go down where can I get the full audio ? There were a lot of good bootleg sites that you could get this about 12-15 years ago along with two MSG audio shows (full SB shows). Unfortunately these sites have long been shut down but I know I have three if not four SB full shows from the SBS tour.

Just to note, I discovered my 12min 12sec version of GOF on Two for the Show, was recorded 15-4-1984, not 12-4-1984.
And that's the show on Vimeo which was linked earlier:

Wasn't NR who said that TWA was shelved because most of the demos were already rounding there? This group sometimes treats their fans in a paternalistic way.

The iTunes version of As The Lights Go Down is a lift from the movie and as a result, has weird sound effect. The RSD vinyl version had, if my memory serves me right, most of these removed. The mix was better as well. I’d love to see a new version of Arena where they have a fuller setlist as well as a mix that sits in between the original Arena mix and the vinyl ATLGD mix. Some of the latter are a bit shrill and in your face. Arena on the other hand can be a bit muted. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the best version I ever heard of Arena was the XDR cassette version, without Dolby NR switched on !

How a band like Duran Duran, has not revisited the recordings of their commercial peak is another question. 1984 was their year and both the concert footage and audio could do with a complete revisit, re-Edit and new mix to bring it up to today’s standards. Queen have released Live In Montreal on 4K in cinemas and it’s soon to appear on Disney. Get Back was another success. Ok, both Queen and The Beatles are bigger than DD but they are worthy of a such a release.
Sometimes I truly wonder what the hell they are thinking of when it comes to looking after their legacy. I understand they don’t like to look too far in the past, but come on, if they really want to remain in the public’s consciousness after they are gone, they have to look after what they did in the beginning and when they were at their peak. The remaining active members of Queen have done a good job with their legacy, although I do think they overdo it. However, Brian May is quite active on social media and they make an effort to revisit their older stuff and put it back out there. DD do bugger all. Simón rarely tweets nowadays.JT gave up years ago and both Nick and Roger have never gone there. There’s very little interaction. Queen are quite frankly, they are bigger than ever and their lead singer has been dead for 32 years, and that’s because they have made an effort to remind people of who they were and what they did. Duran should take note.
