"I am a drummer, I am always on time"
HA! I like that. funny funny Mr. RT.
I enjoyed reading Katy's blog about Roger. You see these guys, you buy their albums, you go see them in concert, but (fan-wise) who "knows" them. .....certainly not me. Hell, I'll probably never even briefly meet them, much less know them. So I enjoy stuff like that.
As far as Katy's book goes.... I think it's a cool idea. I will buy it as long as it doesnt cost me an arm & a leg. I'm not willing to pay some outrageous price for it.

Courtesy of Katys' MySpace Page The words that stand out for me in that blurb are " mortifying", " pathetic" and " laugh-out-loud". You can dress it up all you like, but this is taking advantage of people who may have felt that they had genuine questions. An excuse to point and laugh at the eejits like some sort of freak show. There's already an outlet for that kind of behaviour! It's called DuranTURD.com.com. And, love it or hate it, at least we're not trying to make money off anyone.

The last time I bought a Duran Duran book, I was in a training bra and the book looked like this, except new: I plan to maintain that record.

I'm with you on the concept - that neither the band nor employees of the band should think it acceptable to make money off of making some of their fands look stupid. I also am not really sure that they are entirely on firm legal footing in publishing these questions, especially couching them in a way that make real people look real stupid, unless there is a signed release OR it says somewhere on DD.com that any submission to Ask Katy is the sole property of the band and may be used in any manner at the band's sole discretion. I'm assuming they had legal advice on this, but, you know, assuming anything was done logically in DD world makes an ass out of u and me.

For now, I'll wait to judge the book.
The idea sounded better to me before they decided to shut down the board. Now, I (we) feel slighted, and this book may make us feel more so. I'm not sure I think it's a good idea, but I sure am curious!

I thought that when you send a question to a website it's similiar to a "Letters to the Editor" so to speak. "Your letter is edited for content, clarity, and is the property of blah, blah and blah. I thought that they can do pretty much what they want with it and you don't have any recourse? However, I didn't see a disclaimer like I see in print and on websites?! Who knows?
I would purchase the book! ;D

When i was a kid i was very timide, and i thought Roger was the same ,so i thought that he would hardly say anything. it is nice to read that he is different than my childs imagination, and i always believed he is a warm and friendly guy,I have to say he looks better than ever, and he's enjoyin his Duran time, love that Ask Katy ;yes i tried and some times i got her answer ,and sometimes nothing, and the suggestion than is read it all because you're question is propable asked before, and i did ,but never found it,maybe i should buy the book then
