...with comments:
"Roger has chosen a new playlist for us. Here are his picks along with his notes on them:
Lay Lady Lay - We have been playing this live recently, great song by a great artist.
Skin Divers - Thank you to the mighty Timbaland, you have made all our grooves come true.
All She Wants Is - Electro pop classic from the Big Thing album, one of the main inspirations for our 'Electro' set.
Last Man Standing - For me, this is one of the most beautiful of all the Duran ballads.
New Moon on Monday - an often forgotton single from our early 80s period, check out the video and witness that groovy dancing at the end!"

I wonder if Timbaland will thank Duran for giving him the experience of working with a "rock" band.

I wonder if Timbaland will thank Duran for giving him the experience of working with a "rock" band. Nah...Timbaland's too busy pushing Madonna's album and utterly ignoring the fact he ever worked with DD, as he's done ever since he got his money and walked out the studio door...

I'm curious - did producers Nile Rogers, Dallas Austin or Don Gilmore go out promoting the heck out of Astronaut? No. Did they not enjoy their paycheck and hit the road to their next project? Yes. What exactly is Timbaland suppose to do? was he not suppose to move on from DD? was he suppose to chase down the media and beg them to print more stories about how he worked on 3 songs for DD? His job was to produce 3 songs, not promote this album and spew for years following like it's the only project he's ever done or will be doing. I think some don't understand the role of a producer. I find it funny how outraged some are over this Madonna thing, like the concept of Timbaland discussing his involvement is somehow a slap in the face to DD. Like he's not allowed to sing the praises of other artists, push their work, though he's been doing so long before he produced a note on RCM. When his work with DD occurred, the same thing surfaced, loads of media followed. Then logically, it died down. People move on, as does the media. That's a fact. Now it's Madonna's turn. She is far MORE powerful and far more sexy to the media than DD will ever be. The media is hounding Timbaland and Timberlake triple the amount they did with RCM.... and yes, they're going to respond. Why this is surprising to anyone is beyond me.
