no I don't think so- can't see how it can be really- the album stiffed, they've done no promo for it at all- there's no way all the A block tickets could have gone by 9am on Friday morning- I was logged in at 9am and there were no A block tickets- there weren't that many up for sale in the pre-sale either
TM are using their auction site to fleece the stupid of their money- I reckon their selling the cheapo tickets first and going forwards
oddly enough I'm not all that bothered- I saw them at Lyceum last December and the first hour was great- the hits element was less so- and looking at the rather uninspired set lists from the tour so far am only going to be missing out on hearing the same old songs for the billionth time-
that said I'm waiting on nearer the time for production tickets to come up- it always happens- we've scored mega seats for Madonna in the past by doing this

That is HUGE to try and sell out . . . I hope they don't get too disappointed . . . I thought the idea behind this tour was SMALLER is better in the hopes of a sell-out?

It's possible a lot of the great seats were given to radio stations, etc. for promotional purposes. Also scalpers might have bought up a lot of the good seats. I think it's a good idea to wait until closer to the event - the scalpers will become nervous if the tickets aren't in demand and will start selling them for lower prices just to get rid of them.
Personally I'll be surprised if Duran Duran sells out the O2 - it seats 23,000, RCM didn't do very well, and they've played there a couple of times recently. And if I recall corrently, those were at much smaller venues and didn't sell out either...
The only way the 02 *might* sell out is if Andy came back. Or if they got Warren. Otherwise, I'd look at maybe selling half the arena, unless they curtain parts off or move the stage forward like they did a few times during the Astronaut tour.

I guess this is the best way of keeping the fat old fans out of the front row. It will be interesting to see a show where the front half of the arena is empty, while the back is full.

Like NoMercy, I'm finding it impossible to get decent seats at fair price. The main supplier, Ticketmaster, is offering 'best seats" in what appears to be Row Z of a section significantly closer to Outer Mongolia than the stage. And at £50 a time, I won't be able to afford the necessary telescope. ;D I can't find Level 1 or floor tickets anywhere, apart from ticket tout agencies which are selling floor seats for well over £200. I'm hanging on to see if better tickets become available through Ticketmaster nearer the time - over the weekend they were offering block 411 as the best available - when it's the furthest away from the stage. 413 and 409 are currently being offered and they're slightly nearer, so it does look they like they sold the worst first. Hopefully lower tier tickets will become available soon. Also, I don't think the seating plan in NoMercy's post indicates how steep the level 4 seating actually is. Having seen this picture www.theo2.co.uk/inside/the-o2-arena-2.htmlI'd have serious reservations about sitting that high up!
