New Duran Duran Album - Cast

Dear Duranies,
Happy New Year to You All ! I had the chance to catch up with one of the employees from Sphere Studio in London & told me that he had to remit to one guy a DAT Tape within the following info typed on: Duran Duran's Cast. Looks like the name from the New CD. He has also heard some short clips from the new songs & they sound amazing. He has also some titles (TBC) from the current songs: after your ghost, gone wild, further your words, cast... for the rest, I do not have them for the moment. Also know from this guy that the CD will carry 14 songs & will be distributed by the band himself on the net. CDs will be pressed too. Durany Yours, Kikilon

Thanks for the info. Very interesting to read about some song titles. Will be surprised if DD decide to issue themselves without a record deal. Not sure how I feel about that. I'm sure they know what they are doing but i would worry that the album may get less promotion if funded by them.

I think it's long overdue they went independent- even with Sony they couldn't score that massive hit song/ album that they were desperate for- and they're no longer Top 40 fodder either- plenty of other artists do well enough out of it- if they get someone clever to run it for them, then there's no reason why it can't work for them- in reality it's likely what's left of the fanbase will be the only people buying it anyway

also means when they tour, it may encourage them to downsize from arenas so we don't get a bloody hitsfest everytime

Without label they might have some leaks from this DAT, as it happened to pre-Astronaut stuff Can't wait. And, hey, I am buying this info just because 'I Want To Believe'

You make a good point. Sony were shockingly bad at promoting DD well. I'm just always assumed DD would always want to go with a label regardless.

Have to say I'm not keen on any of the song titles. "further your words" sounds terrible lol!

employees from Sphere Studio are very secretive about their clients, esp about Duran Duran.
