Yes, this is a thread where I'm going to make myself comfortable, and kvetch. Feel free to join me.

Just back from the dentists, for the second week in a row. Last week, he generously gave me five needles, two fillings and two extractions. This week I got four needles, one filling and two more extractions.

Have I said how much I hate the dentist's?

Thank you. The worst thing about it is that the left side of my face is still numb. I feel like it's all swollen, and it's hard to swallow. Last week, I took some ibuprofen, and drooled water down the front of my shirt. Real classy, lol.

yeah .... trips to the dentist are not a fun time. last month i had a root canal plus two other fillings - with appts for another root canal and more fillings before the end of this month.

and now i have no job and insurance going away and no idea how i'm going to pay the bills!

Ack! Makes me feel lucky that I get free dental care over here. One extraction alone costs €120.

Ouch

I had a 2 fillings and an extraction a few months back. My dentist knew how petrified I was so he held off doing the second extraction until a few weeks later. I remember how much it hurt - you're way braver then me getting it all done at once.

I would say I hope the needles wear off soon but you probably don't want them too.

I got the needles at around 9.10am, my time(I'm in Ireland), and they're just starting to wear off now. I've taken two painkillers, and have stocked up on 'soft' foods, pasta and such. I should be good to go by tomorrow.

And then get more work done next Monday.
