I glad Ellie came through fine. My friend's lab mix torn his ACL two months ago. I saw him last month and he was drugged to keep him calm but fine and happy.
Give her big hugs!

well, I picked her up today and as soon as I got to her I held her and she just cried!!! I will post some pics of her later - her leg is shaven and it looks like a poodle gone bad, my poor babe. She is also crying a lot because she can't jump up, show her excitement at being home, walk. Oh it's going to be a long couple of months. She's completely restricted for 3 months and then we have to start therapy. An Aussie - how am I going to do this!!!! Thanks again for all your well wishes! It means a lot to us.

She's a beautiful dog. I'm glad she's on the mend. Good luck over the next few months with her.

DOOD. that's the tough part. oh...and the shaved fur. ain't it pitiful?? my chow LeMont had an "eye job" (a lump removed from his eyelid) and he looked like some crazy teenager who had gone and mutilated his face or something. the shaved fur was in the shape of a triangle and it made him look like a complete nutter. LeMont also licked all his stitches out when he was "fixed". NICE. thus...the lampshade on his head. Sanford managed to pull out all of his stitches on his ruptured pad. f___ER. they both turned out just fine, as will Miss Ellie. OH...a "Dallas" reference!!! I think you need to add that to the list.

well, things are getting better hour by hour for Miss Ellie. just after bringing her home - passed out: tonight - a little perkier: her incision is actually on the underside of her knee so you can't see it. She is perking up and barking at the UPS man and even running over to the window to see him. She has even put the leg down a couple of times. So, we will get there. It's good to see signs of my Ellersby coming back!! Thanks again for all your well wishes.
