errbt - that CM is pretty cool... where did you say you found that? At good ole' Harmony House in downtown Farmington, MI (now long gone), right around the corner from my house. I used to get all my US 7" and LPs and all my US and UK 12"s there ($4.99 for US and $5.49 or $5.99 for UK). It was just sitting there in the Duran section, regular price, with nothing to even identify it as Duran except the pics of the girl that match the correct version (but without the silvery finish), so someone working there knew enough to know where it should go (but not enough to snag it for themselves, apparently). Never saw another copy like it, and I used to go there every day or two for years!

errbt - that's just plain INSANE! I mean, Farmington MI? What year-ish did you pick that up?

Mine has to be the Greatest EPK promo video/CD pack. It comes in a VERY big video-style case with proper artwork. inside there's the promo EPK VHS, a black & white photo of Simon, Nick & Warren, promo CD of Greatest in slimlime jewel case. Nick signed it for me in silver pen, he was impressed with it.
Second thing I love is the Electric Barbarella US Electric Sex promo 12" which Simon & Warren signed for me!
I also have the UK limited 12" of I Don't Want Your Love which is a one sided 12" laser-etched with pic of the band on the back.. love that

Love that Careless Memories one Thats a true treasure find indeed It's definitely fun to have around! Just such a goofy error...Duran's answer to The White Album, I guess! "How much more white could it be? And the answer is none...none more white." errbt - that's just plain INSANE! I mean, Farmington MI? What year-ish did you pick that up? I'd guess it was 1984, since that's the year I went Duran crazy, opening Pandora's box w/ the purchase of the 7" and 12" of NMOM at the start of the year and ending the year owning every US and UK release I could get my hands on. It could have been '85 or '86, but I'm about 95% certain I got it not long after I bought the correct "normal" CM 12" which was definitely in '84.

Interesting that you picked that up quite long after its release. Super cool.

Interesting that you picked that up quite long after its release. Super cool. Also note that it wasn't a first pressing with the matching white, brown and silver design on the label sticker, but the generic black EMI label, similar to what they did with later pressings of Planet Earth, GOF, My Own Way, and Save A Prayer (and maybe others, but those are the ones I know of 'cause I have 'em in both versions). It does make me wonder what year this was pressed...

errbt - see attached for my most prized possession. I wonder if this came from the same batch as your Careless Memories. I call it my "careless" "Careless Memories".

Do you have a picture that you can upload of that proof for SRTR? Would love to see that! Not @ the moment, but one of these days I will get all of my stuff organized again and I will take pictures as I catalog things. Don't hold your breath though. I am terribly disorganized. (Sorry.)
