Lotto... I won $50 long ago and passed it along to my younger bro for his birthday.

I remember reading a newspaper article a while ago about a feud between a mother and daughter over a lottery ticket. The daughter gave her mom a ticket for Mother's Day, the ticket won big, and then the daughter claimed that the mother owed her a portion of the money because she'd bought the ticket. Last time I heard, it was going to court and the realtionship had gotten ugly...

I've played less then 10 times. Haven't won anything major (then again, didn't expect to). I'm not much into gambling. I went to Vegas & spent $15 on the slot machines (anything I won I put aside, brought home $9.00). I was more entertained watching others gamble (especially when they would lose, but keep playing to win their money back). View lottery the same. Just not my thing. I'd rather blow money on something else.

On the actual lottery, I think I've won $50. I don't play with any regularity. In Vegas we won something like $400, again not much to get excited about.

I know this guy here where I live he plays the scratch off kind and spends hundreds every day. Many years ago he won a Win For Life type of game. ABout every store in town has kicked him out of there for his gambling and rudness. At one store he spent over 800 dollars in one day.
I said its aiding to his gambling addiction. But he is a paying customer.

I spend 2 dollars on the Powerball and I buy mostly the 1 dollar scratch offs. I usually win my dollar back. Tonight I won five dollars. The most I have won is 20.

The most I've won is $60 on a scratch off. Everyday I see the sign on the highway for the Mega Millions jackpot and I alway day dream when it gets to be over 100 mill. 9 times out of 10 I say I'm going to buy a ticket but then I forget. *random karma* because i love your avatar!! ~meow!~

Can't complain! I won a grand on a scratchie back in 1990 just before Christmas and it felt like I'd won about 20 grand. It got me out of a financial hole I'd dug myself into and meant I could get better presents for my family.
I don't do the lottery much anymore. I used to do it fairly regularly and get involved in syndicates and things like that, but a few years ago, my brother actually won the damn thing (well, he was one of two people who won that draw!). As the odds of it happening twice in the one family is so far off the scale it's not even worth it. I don't take part in syndicates anymore either to give them a better chance. I joke that if they win, they should give me a cut anyway because my non participation makes it easier for them!
