Ladies & Gentlemen:
UNLEASHED - got
# 21 today, and I already love it! The best bootleg (for me as a collector of rare mixes/versions) since ages!
Great artwork - brilliant mastering!
Only listened once to the whole thing, so please don't expect any detailed analyses:
01. Soundburst Test
06. Regret No More, John!
---> no music
02. What Happens Tomorrow (Jiggy Joint Remix)
04. Someone Else Not Me (Peter's Honor Radio Mix)
---> these came from very rare promo CDs, but have already leaked
08. Electric Barbarella (StoneBridge Radio Edit)
09. (Reach Up For The) Sunrise (Justin Strauss Mix)
---> we have heard these before - both fantastic remixes, commissioned but unreleased. I guess these have been given by the original remixers due to Gabby's chase
14. Electric Barbarella (Electric Sex Mix)
---> the released remix from the 12"
03. Serious (7" Remix)
10. Serious (7" House Mix)
---> both remixes sound great - they are both not too 'house', definitively remixed in 1990
05. Falling Down (Extended Version)
---> this sounds like an extended version based on the album version, it is not a remix! The guitar solo is very looooooong
07. A View To A Kill (12” Remix)
---> here it is! Fantastic! An official 12" remix for AVTAK...
11. All She Wants Is (Big Bottom Dance Remix)
15. All She Wants Is (Restless Natives Version)
---> both versions sound very cool. I would say they are based on the 1988 album version. Remixes yes, but not remixes as obvious as the ones from Shep Pettibone! Wonder from which year they are! Late 80s - early 90s!?
12. Perfect Day (Abbey Road Dry Vocals Mix)
---> great! Sounds a bit like a demo for the acoustic version
13. Too Much Information (Dub Mix)
---> definitively done by Chapman & Deptford, can not say yet how it differs compared to the released ones...
16. Rio (Enrapture Instrumental Mix)
---> bit pumped up... doesn't sound like something from the 80s, but also not as one of the remixes done in 1998! Have to listen to this again...
17. Tomorrow Never Dies (Demo)
---> Fantastic! Last Day On Earth as a demo version with different lyrics! Sounds brilliant!
I am only missing some detailed liner notes, where collectors could get an idea of the exact sources... That would have been the icing on the cake! But what the heck - I love this bootleg & thanks to all who made this possible! More of that please
