I don't think I can serve because I'm a victim of crime.

It's not really a question of morality IMHO, but more of legality, depending on your state's laws regarding jury duty. Most states, you can request to be excused, you just need to follow the process.

Denise - you are supposed to change your drivers license 30 days after you move. You can get cited for not having an accurate drivers license.

I say "I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I don't feel comfortable judging anyones life and I feel God is the only judge." I'm not sure that I'm going to ask this question quite clearly enough. But I'm curious. What happens, or rather what is the mindset of a Jehovah's Witness if they break the law and have to stand trial?

But everyone is imperfect. If someone makes a mistake we have to follow the laws just like anyone else. Pay Caesar's things to Caesar. But all in all we don't really break the law or try not to.

Don't feel bad Den - I've gotten summoned to jury duty 5 times, served on 2 juries (once I was the foreperson!) and GET THIS..... last week I got a summons for jury service in the US District Court beginning October 1 and continuing through October 19. I'll have to travel into Boston everyday for 15 days and worst of all no dd messageboard at the courthouse!
The worst is when you sit through the whole jury selection (voir dire) and don't get chosen as a juror. At least if you serve you don't feel like you've totally wasted your time.
