With all this talk about books, I have been thinking about Simon’s ‘tell all’.
I have no doubt it will happen eventually - more than likely when Duran Duran have finished making music and they’re getting bored, peeling grapes at a vineyard in the South of France somewhere.
He’ll be sat on a transcript he began back in the early eighties, editing it as the years go by, adding ever more mouth watering ‘true’ accounts of debauchery and all night parties at the Late Bar. And what of his deteriorating relationship with Warren and his difficulties with losing his mojo?
Will Simon publish his autobiography? Perhaps it would be simpler to ask if the driven snow is white? It’ll be a massive money spinner.
What would be an eye catching original title?
‘My name is Le Bon..’ ’The Chauffeur’ ’Maximum Big Surprise’
One thing’s for certain, he can’t use ‘Wild Boy’. I bet Simon is still cussing Andy for that.
Anybody else waiting and what would be a great title?

i don't believe that simon will ever write an autobiography, the closest thing to an autobiography that we can get from him ,its an abstract book ,inspired through his tenure on DD

SLB also introduced the song The Reflex during a March 1984 show as being "about a little friend of mine", then clarified that "it's about a dancer actually".
I actually think it's about gambling.
And my 2 cents about him writing - it would need serious editing as words gush out of him like water from a fountain.

What makes you think he'd come out with this sort of book when he can't even give a simple and straight answer to any question that's been posed to him on Ask Katy?

I suppose it would help if Katy asked the question in a simple and straightforward manner to begin with! 😁 I always find it’s better to do some research beforehand.

I suppose it would help if Katy asked the question in a simple and straightforward manner to begin with! 😁 I always find it’s better to do some research beforehand. It's not just the easy to answer questions where the questioner could have done some research before hand, but thought provoking ones or something else other than, "Duh, hey....uh...do you still wear that necklace that has a tiger on it?" Know what I mean? And the issue with Simon is that when you do ask him a really good question, he come back with some off the wall reply instead of giving the respect that's due to the person asking it. For example - me: "Hey, Simon, when you and the band were going through the process of writing and fleshing out tracks for the new album, what made you and the band bring in Graham Coxon to lend his guitar talent to the album?" Simon: "Did you know that on Mars, scientist think they may have come across a bidet made of solid dark chocolate that's filled with slices of green cheese? Wooooosh!"

Maybe it’s us who lacks a sense of humour, but your example is just another reason why DD will never ever be taken seriously. I’m feeling that was a true story? No wonder there will be never any change with the current ‘HQ’. Katy has cast her hypnotic spell and DD’s fate is sealed. I can’t even bear to look at their social media anymore as 50% of it features ‘whoosh’, co starring Katy Krassner. Who the hell is she? And what hope is there when the leading man can’t at least pretend to be a muso? As for ‘whoosh’, he’s been doing that since at least 1992. It’s a hard habit to break now unfortunately! You’re a bad influence Red!!! 🤣
