It won’t be mimed. It’s a pre recorded and mixed to perfection (no bum notes, thank God) live performance. Similar to some of the live performances at the BRITS last night which were pre recorded (ie The Weeknd)

Ok. What to say. The BB awards is apparently a big thing but US only. Why don’t they all immigrate to the US? Then they will be able to play NASA and Vegas shows on a regular basis. DD40 will again be a North-American affair (“Not true! They will perform in Ibiza which is in Europe and they played a Berlin show in 2015!”) Was excited to see the Hammersmith photos. But this is a total let down. Bet the new single will be an iTunes/Spotify only release.

If you turn them by their shoulders and point them in any direction they just go whichever way you want them to - like a clockwork toy. Magus are then responsible for their salary. Mortgages are paid so the rest of their pay goes on vitamins to combat old age forgetfulness..but not too much otherwise the penny will eventually drop. By the way, Ibiza is in the USA. That’s what DDHQ think anyway.

The article says it will be "the live premiere" of the new single, which suggests to me that the studio recording will premiere ahead of that. I haven't seen DD do a "mimed" performance for live TV since the 80's so I'm doubtful that will be the case. The fact that they pre-taped it means there were likely multiple takes and plenty of time to edit it. This will hopefully be more like a performance from Diamond In the Mind but without the crowd.

I can watch it “live” while I’m working from home. This isn’t the least exciting surprise announcement from Duran of late.

I have no idea if the Billboard Awards are a big thing or not, are they like an American version of the Brits?
I think it's an okay announcement - not super exciting, and not super underwhelming.
The fact they are doing a "live premiere" of Invisible is a positive, and in that circumstance they had to do it somewhere. So that means other geographic areas may be more disappointed.

Honestly most all music award shows are showing drastic declines in viewers in the past years. Now with YouTube you can watch “ said bands” performance in matter of minutes after it’s aired. Gone are the days of sitting through the whole thing cause you don’t want to miss your fav act. It’s better than no promotion, but again this is going to serve the core base and that’s about it. Your BTS or Weeknd fan base is not going to be excited with anticipation for watching a DD performance.

Who the fcuk is going to watch the BB awards?? Really? If recent award shows is any indication of how things are going for these types of shows, then they've really backed the wrong horse.

I remember ‘tuning’ (a favourite word by DDHQ) into the Top 40 to wait for DD’s new entry. This continued upto EB and then I just stopped. Either because of the internet taking off or DD’s songs not doing anything - apart from Astronaut. ‘Serious’ was the biggest let down. I listened to the whole show for 3 hours and it hadn’t charted. Three hours I won’t get back. Lol Nowadays I’m not so much of an anorak. Is there still a Top 40?
