Out of my mind would be suitable for this album. But no one would play the guitar better than Warren. So, there’s no point in revisiting it. And I’m sure they know that. |

Duran Duran - Out Of My Mind - HOB 1999 Why? This is the Perfecto remix version. It's very well played, Simon's singing rather bothers me there. It sings like I sing karaoke.  That's what others said in the comments section..you sure that wasn't you? Lol |

I think in 1999 Simon was done with Duran as Simon, Rhodes, Warren...he looked very unhappy and depressed...sad to see that...he was just going thru the motions .. |

Simon missed JT
&
It’s possible SLB was feeling somewhat ‘not as previously required’,
considering NR & WC we’re writing more and more of the lyrics
Indeed, Nicks strong creative working relationship with WC wasn’t helping
Just describing what I’ve read over the years
I guess after 2-3 LPs with no true dent on the charts slb desired that dd have a reinvention
I say this with no disrespect to the creative outcomes/offerings of that time coz the Medaz LP is = favourite with Rio IMO

It was a very different band when Nick and Warren were driving it. What’s frustrating with Medazzaland is that like with Astronaut some of the demos are better! And JT was involved with those. I’ve often said I listen to the Medazzaland LP without skipping a single track, something I can’t do with other DD LPs, dunno it just works as a total listening experience IMO I’ve never thought of adding its associated demos and trying that (god knows in what order I’d put them in?) maybe I should 🤔 re OOMM I’m sure Dom can play it, yet there’s something about the originator/song writer/player doing it It’s kinda like their proud moment, or ownership, it’s hard to explain really, there’s a certain sentiment evident I'm a sentimental type and a world 🌎 without sentiment, is not one I wish to live in I’m sure some fans think that AT can play OW too, yet for me it’s not quite the same |

as a long-time fan here (since summer of 82)...it totally struck me the other day how interesting/funny/meaningful/weird/awesome/etc. it is that the songs I most often have running around in my head at any time are "medazzaland" and "michael, you've got a lot to answer for" It was a funny little observation, and then I asked myself "why do I consider that interesting/weird?" I mean, "planet earth" is my ultimate fav, followed by a plethora too long to list. for some reason I want to categorise Medazzaland (the album) as "lesser than" because it's not part of the original 81-91 set (my favourite timeline/set of releases). I don't know why. I actually consider Astronaut as the weakest album. Oh, I love most of the songs, but I consider it SOOOOOO overproduced that it's extremely noticeable. AYNIN is my 2nd less fav. But then, I always come full circle to any D2 analysis by noting that I'm so grateful to this band for always changing styles and sounds and art and atmosphere. Not everything's going to hit the mark, and that's okay. But, being such a rabid fan, most of everything does  |

I will only be disappointed with this album if there are no new tracks on the album. That is what I get most excited about is new music.
