Out of my mind would be suitable for this album. But no one would play the guitar better than Warren. So, there’s no point in revisiting it. And I’m sure they know that. Regarding OOMM, I think you'll find this interesting: www.salon.com/2022/10/29/duran-duran-nick-rhodes-medazzaland/Would you consider playing any of the songs live again from this record?
Oh, definitely. Most definitely. Funny enough, we're about to do a Halloween show in Las Vegas of all places, and one of the songs on the list for that show was "Out of My Mind." In the end, we had so many other ones that we wanted to do that it didn't quite make the list, but everybody loves that song.

Well thank the lucky stars there’s such a thing as second thoughts.

Sounds like an odd project. Surely Reportage should be sorted first whilst AT is still here. Fanny around with weirdness like this later. Their priorities are sometimes hard to understand to us fans! I agree, this is a completely useless project and a step aside. Covers and reworked songs? What is it for? After they approached Andy, they really should have finished Reportage, they could have released the three new songs and a couple of covers as b-sides or bonuses in some deluxe edition. Covers and reworked versions make groups in an already completely desperate situation for a quick profit. I don't think quick profit comes in play here. The profits from record sales or streaming of new music they make have become marginal for a band like DD. Cover versions have been written by other people by definition so a large chunk of that income goes to the original composers of the songs anyway. I don't think that DD has to record any new music in order to keep on touring and survive. But I'm glad they do. I think the reason for this project is to maintain the very positive vibe the band is in right now. They are far from in a completely desperate situation. They don't need to prove anything anymore. This project keeps them from going into hybernation between albums. Would you prefer to wait another three to four years before they release a new album ?

Personally I can’t say it’s a useless project until I hear it it might be ? or it might not be ? kinda need to give it a listen first Im happy they're doing it and TBH I wouldn’t mind a full LP of new material every 5 years and every 2.5 years (in between) something like this moving forward from here on Must say, It’s likely I’ll like it when taking into account that I like “Thank You” for the most part, yet best to wait and see that’s settles it then, DD if you’re reading this? we expect a full LP of original material approx every 5 years and in between this 5 yr period at approx 2.5 years an LP of material to maintain your positive vibe (& this must be stuff we don’t already own) 😂

Well thank the lucky stars there’s such a thing as second thoughts. Why? It’s not like the guitar in OOMM is so complicated that Dom couldn’t play it. Or, if you mean that they’d murder it the way they did the “electro” TMI from the PG tour…that would be a fair point.

Remember Simon (or was it Nick?) say the exact same thing about the possibility of "Land" hitting the setlist for the Paper Gods tour. "But, in the end, too many choices". Grrr!

They do seem to shy away from ballads and slower numbers. Even of their new material they're touring, they seem to cut the slow songs first. I mean, no Wing?!?
The slow songs are usually just SAP, CU and OW, and that's pretty much it! I'm actually very surprised they've been playing Lonely in your Nightmare! So Land seems like a long shot, unfortunately.

I don't think quick profit comes in play here. The profits from record sales or streaming of new music they make have become marginal for a band like DD. Cover versions have been written by other people by definition so a large chunk of that income goes to the original composers of the songs anyway. From what I have heard, from brief snippets in interviews, the band basically get close to nothing for any online media streaming, sales, or whetever. It's like 0.01 dollar per track (or something?), and the band don't even get that, most of the time. Perhaps people like Apple and Spotify pay up, but from the sound of it, most don't. Simon was asking for artists to get together and demand regulation, but nothing ever came of it. The band give the impression to me that most of the money, if not all of it, comes from touring. (and perhaps some residuals)
