I'm a big Charlie Sexton fan & I just got an update that he is doing a Dallas & an Austin show this weekend. Unfortunately I can't make it because I am in Florida & it's too late of notice, but I wanted to spread the word in case anyone can go. That's right we are! I've been a fan of his since 1985 and have lost count to how many times i've seen him live. Thanks for the heads up about the show, KimK!

He used to spend a lot of time in Woodstock, New York when I was in high school and an ex-girlfriend of mine slept with him. She wasn't legal, but I'm sure the statute of limitations has worn off by now.
He played in Bob Dylan's band for quite a few years, but I didn't see them live during that period.

Stuporfly when you said WoostocK New York I got shivers because I read it as New Woodstock New York and thats where I have family and use to live. I started to wonder why he would even be there in that tiny little hamlet

i'm really a big Arc Angels fan and he was one of the lead singers/lead guitarists for the band. damn he's purty...    |

I used to go to see Charlie Sexton alot in the 80's. But I was also a huge fan of his little brother Will. He's a fantastic guitarist as well.
I might just have to go to the show this weekend...

I might just have to go to the show this weekend... you should probably go and see kenny wayne shepherd and double trouble on friday and then go back to see charlie on saturday. given the choice...i believe i'd go to see kenny wayne instead of charlie. i prefer charlie's work with the arc angels to his solo stuff, as it is kinda dark. arc angels were charlie sexton, doyle bramhall II and double trouble (the rhythm section for stevie ray vaughn comprised of tommy shannon and crhis layton) GOOD STUFF. |
