'Shadowlands' is a sad film - but also my favourite.
'The Elephant Man' used to make me cry when I was a kid. It's the part where he's just starting to feel he's normal and can fit into society, and then Michael Elphick's character steals him away one night so all his friends can laugh at the freak ~ I can remember being sent to bed after that because I was crying too much. I've never forgiven Michael Elphick for that!

Many movies make me cry, but I will say about the most recent wich is The Holiday, and is the part were Graham is telling Amanda why he didn't told her he was Widow...
Anyways that is one of my recent fav pictures, not because is the best, but because I can relate myself to many scenes in it.
*sigh*

I cry at few films. Ones that are based on true stories, mostly, such as Schindler's List that wych mentioned. What's really lame is that the one show that makes me cry every time is the episode of Futurama where Fry finds his dog from the 20th century. Fry imagines that the dog lived many happy years after he went to the future, and they show that montage at the end of the dog waiting every day for Fry to come back outside the pizza shop, where he dies. That was on late on the last day the dd.com message board was open, when we were all on waiting for the end to come, and that just put me over. Yes, I know that there is something wrong with me.

I have sobbed at the theatre for four films, like out-and-out SOBBING.
--Steel Magnolias when Sally Field goes on her post-burial rant. --Schindler's List during the shooting scenes outside the hospital where the doctors/:s euthanised the patients. --The Piano when Holly Hunter got her finger cut off --The Passion of the Christ during the scourging scene, when Mary remembered picking up Christ on the road as a child and decided to go to him on his journey to Calvary, and when the symbolic tear of God fell to the ground.
ETA: --Dead Man Walking when Susan Sarandon holds out her hand during Sean Penn's execution --The rape scene in the movie with Kelly McGillis and Jody Foster (can't remember the name of the movie)
ETA again: The Color Purple at the end with her children's clothing flowing in the wind, and she knows they are hers.
