I am listening to the score to the Almodovar film Talk to Her. The movie was one of the few of his I really didn't like. The score, though, is beautiful. Also, I did see Volver recently. I still love All About My Mother and Bad Education much better, but Volver wasn't bad. Waaay more domestic that Almodovar usually does, almost traditionalist melodrama! Weird coming from this filmmaker.

It's my own personal compilation created out of songs I (shamelessly!) downloaded. The songs I have are taken from the following films:
Once Upon A Time In America - The Untouchables - Kill Bill Vol2 - A Fistful Of Dollars - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly - The Mission -Hang'Em High - The Godfather - Highlander - Once Upon A Time In The West - Twin Peaks - Last Of The Mohicans.
If you wanna listen to anything, just whistle and I'll upload them

I just got Peter Wolf's (of J. Geils Band fame) disc 'Sleepless'. Pretty good, and I'm already strumming along with a song or two; he does a great version of a country song called 'Nothin' But the Wheel', and, after attempting to fling my guitar across the room a couple of times, finally figured out the chord I was missing (and of course, it was a perfectly simple one......A minor........) It has a little bit of a folk-y, acoustic feel to it, not everyone's cup of tea.
I also just got the 'Leaving Las Vegas' soundtrack for Don Henley's version of 'Come Rain or Come Shine'. It's..........hot

After seeing it mentioned in the 'all-time greatest' lists of so many artists I admire, I bought Can's 'Tago Mago'. I quite like it, as weird as it is.

Oh yes, I'm listening to something out of the ordinary. An infomercial for opencheck.com as I sit here in our barn office til 2:30am watching pregnant mares due to foal. Methinks I need to turn off the tv and crank up the itunes.
