Yeah.. I was reading threads when i suddenly got the this page can't found..
Oh well..
Goes to the fridge and pulls out the chees and grabs some more crackers... Someone still need to go to the store to stock this place!!

I stayed on until almost 4:30 am pst (work nights)... Just missed the big end I guess.
Ah well... The message the Moderator put makes it sound like there will be a new board at some time, but I'm not holding my breath.

Agreed - glad that everyone's here - nice to see that some of you have screen captures of your login from DD.com.
Does anyone know when the board first started - was it back in the late 90's??

Yeah, bummer! And we still don't know exactly why they thought they had to do this. I wish I could believe they'd care if they knew how much this upset folks, but I'm not so sure they would. The message about the board being closed 'at this time' does make it sound like it's not entirely permanent, but who knows? Guess we'll just have to see...but the way they handled this whole thing both sucked AND blew, in my opinion. YAY for Mark!! Big thanks again for setting all this up, and yay for getting this place put up on their links page! ETA: Looking at the links page at DD.com, anybody else find it funny that www.andytaylor.com is on there? |

Does anyone know when the board first started - was it back in the late 90's?? The most recent incarnation of the board was launched in late October, 2000. I'm not sure exactly what day, but I know I signed up in the first week or so. |

And now the message board listing is gone from the Fan Forums page at DD.com. There's just fan community (an inactive link), duranmyspace and fan promotion. No mention of a message board at all!
Like it was never there...
Was duranduranmusic.com always listed as 'the official fan community' on the Links page? It seems to me that they'll be directing fans to the boards over there, rather than putting up a new, free board.
