 now you know how cold it's been here in MN. really really cold. well, with the temps being in the sub-below digets for the actual temp, i just heard on the news that a Duluth mother had left her 18 month old baby in the car without it running( that means no heat), for over an hour and a half and then they said half an hour. (not sure) anyways that is too long to be outside when it is that cold. the baby was found and the police were called and the mother now sits in jail on child endangerment charges. the baby was treated and released from the hospital on early signs of frostbite. some people should not be parents and it makes it sad for those who want to become parents and can't. people like that i just want to slap up side the head!!

Week before last in New Hampshire a father dropped his two kids off at a relative's house and didn't wait to see if anyone was home. It was about 18 degrees out and no one was home. It was some time before a neighbor became aware that they were left alone, and the kids hadn't tried getting help from anyone as they were afraid of getting in trouble.
Just because people can procreate doesn't mean they can parent.

That is terrible.....some people have no brains and should not be parents....what was she doing that she would leave her children in the car for a long time???

We get a lot of that here in AZ over the Summer. Parents "forgetting" their kids in the car when it's 110 out. Hubby has done autopsies on babies that have died from baking in a hot car. It's really sad.

I'll never understand these people either. I don't let my kids out of my sight, let alone leave them in a car alone. Absolutely crazy!
