Due to the paradigm shift over the last 15 years, the cd is only gonna appeal to the core fans. I would love to see a CD single with extended/night versions or vinyl 12 inch single this time around. In an interview it was said that they are still looking for label or distribution so this can take a bit of time. Hopefully we will have a single at least released by late spring...

Thats why they should release a single now until the album is released, something funky produced by Nle or Ronson, I don't know why they don't want to keep their name out there! I wish I was their manager! When the album comes out (I'm guessing June?) People will have forgotten all about "Get Lucky" and "Uptown Funk" Pop fans, especially kids, are ever so fickle, Duran should know this more than anybody!

I don't know why but I'm thinking maybe Duran Duran want to surprise their fans this time. Just tweeting about finishing it up and fans guessing when it will be there. And suddenly DANG! DD14 is here, sooner than expected! (Or it's just wishful thinking) :-p

The idea of another funk album is perhaps most appealing if you're a John Taylor fan. I'm expecting him to be slapping those strings like it's going out of fashion As for the Notorious album, I rate 'Hold Me' very highly indeed. Vertigo, Skin Trade, Notorious itself and Proposition are great too though. Matter of Feeling is sublime from the middle eight onwards.

It could potentially give them more promotion than a "regular" release. Whatever that is these days.
