Okay okay Lol, rant over, but I still believe we have over simplified it here. But I see I'm on a losing streak here... Maybe a mini tour in the Swiss Alps is the answer??

Well clearly they do not! Lol! But it would be nice to have some sort of idea. I think it is not to hard to give a little more info and like i said it doesn't have to be detailed. Besides that there were times it was normal to announce shows so far in advance. I remember a Canadian being very upset having booked tickets, hotel and transport to Vegas and months later suddenly a few shows in the West of Canada were announced... I totally understand her being so upset about it. That was actually me. My wife was not impressed that Calgary wasn't on the list originally. I'm happy we are going to 2 shows, but it would have been nice to know they were coming here to begin with.

The Cure recently played two shows in New Orleans. The set-list for the two were very different. This touches on the "hardcore/casual fan discussion. The hardcore fans of the Cure really got a treat on the first night. It would be great for DD to do this at some point. Here is a very interesting read. www.nola.com/music/index.ssf/2016/05/the_cure_2016_north_american_t.html

Off topic but went to see Paul Young last night, although still a spirited performer he has very little voice left and at least 10 per cent of the gig left after the first 4 songs because it was so poor. Shame and lets be thankful Simon can still put in a great vocal.

I'm going to see The Cure in Auckland in July and I class myself as a casual fan, a "Greatest Hits" type. I couldn't believe it when I saw that first setlist, they missed out so many hits, Lullaby, Friday, Close to Me, Catch, Lovecats, Why Can't I be you, The 13th, Mint Car etc !!! I just about spewed because that's what I want to hear! Whereas the person I'm going with is a "real" fan and just loved that first setlist. So yeah, you need a mix between the greatest hits. new stuff and at least one fan favourite in my humble opinion.

All in all I think DD balance their set list nicely.
