I just received it yesterday and it looks soooo good! just one question, did anyone make a rip? or is there some place when I can buy it digitally? The new mix, not the 2010 version My record player is a Audio-Technica AT-LP5 which has USB out. When I get a chance I might rip to MP3. If I do I’ll post an upload here.

I’m somewhat surprised at the unprecedented demand for this album in all honesty. It still has that poor, almost synthetic, audience mix that ‘Arena’ has. Why also keep the sound effects / audio from the movie? If there were more newer vinyl pressings available I doubt this pressing would be as popular. I think we’re all hungry like the wolf. I thought they removed the sound effects? If not then I would not even buy it for less than €30. The pachaging looks good though, but the bootlegged MSG show would have made it a premium product. Now it seems like scraping the barrel. I am also surprised that some are surprised that this sounds like the same performance as Arena. Well... it is the same performance. Just a different mix. Also not sure whether the new vinyl version is really a new mix compared to the lossy iTunes 2010 version or just a new remaster.

from durancompilations.com/Live%20Baby%20Live.pdfAS THE LIGHTS GO DOWN (LIVE OAKLAND COLISEUM '84) Released in April 2019 (Record Store Day) as 2xLP on pink and blue (with one side being etched) vinyl. 8:06 Tiger Tiger / Is There Something I Should Know? 4:22 Hungry Like The Wolf 4:10 Union Of The Snake 5:42 New Religion 6:08 Save A Prayer 5:44 Rio 5:15 The Seventh Stranger 5:19 The Chauffeur 4:28 Planet Earth 4:42 Careless Memories 6:36 Girls On Film Released by Parlophone, this is finally the performance without all those overdubbed sound effects that were used in the original release. The audio was remastered and re-edited from the (most likely) original and shelved mix done by Jason Corsaro back in 1984. These are some of the differences in comparison to the master video soundtrack: • a longer studio-version of Tiger Tiger has been considered as the opening intro • Simon's spoken introduction before Union Of The Snake is unique here • Save A Prayer is the full performance • the transition between The Seventh Stranger and The Chauffeur differs in length and mix • Careless Memories is noticeably longer at the end of the song • Simon's spoken intro before Girls On Film is shortened

One thing I noticed when playing the records is that Side C is mastered considerably louder than the first disc. Makes sense as side C is about 16 minutes in length. Side A and B last around 22 minutes. Less music on a record = wider grooves = louder

For me the Burning Bright recording i have (NYC) is the best of this tour.

I'm not convinced it was unprecedented demand except I think insiders in the industry were able to put copies online instead of sending them directly to stores and also resellers apparently went to stores to buy up what they thought would be in the highest demand. For whatever reason I don't think as many copies of this item ended up in independent record stores at least in the US. I say give it a few weeks and see what the market is online... this is the same greedy crap that ticket scalpers and ticket brokers to to artificially inflate the price of something. I suspect that many of the record stores were some of the same ones that put them on eBay... people in the industry have access to information on what might be the most hard-to-find items. This makes me not want to go back to record store day.

I sat out RSD this year, as an expensive record that is essentially a rerelease of Arena didn’t really interest me.
I did, however, pick up the Budokon release last year and was able to get my copy in the afternoon. I think there were others left, though they sold eventually. Though it was not an official release, I saw the Thanksgiving album in stores a few weeks later.
About a week past RSD this year, I checked two local shops, and there were none left. Indeed, one of the shop owners told me that there were a number of people in line upon opening who were jockeying for the copies of ATLGD. So I think there was a demand.

I bought a copy of Budokan on Sunday last year at Drastic Plastic. I couldn’t believe they closed!! I was able to get Lights at CD Tradepost on Saturday morning.
