Wow...I'm lost for words. As the thread starter, thank you so much for making this a reality.
1. In your opinion, did Reportage really need more work? Or did Sony simply not "get" the album? As you probably know, DD's champion at Sony (Don Ienner) departed during this time. It also seems like there was a toxic culture at that label in the mid aughts. Was the fate of the album due to label politics rather than musical content?
2. Andy mentioned in his book that plans were made to work on the album with Youth in Spain in the Fall of 2006. Would you have been involved in these sessions as well?
3. Andy also writes that John seemed to be play a larger role in the Reportage sessions, almost taking on the role of producer himself. Would you agree with that assessment?
4. A few years ago on Twitter, you posted about listening to an amazing "unreleased Duran Duran" song. Can you specify which song it was and why it was amazing? A ballad? A rocker?
5. Simon has discussed the song "48 Hours Later" in interviews, going so far to call it one of the most sublime DD songs. What is your memory of this particular track? Could it have been a single?
6. Of the five albums featuring the original five (Self titled debut, Rio, Ragged Tiger, Astronaut, your work with them on Reportage), where would you rank this album?
7. The Bad Boy label was an unstoppable hit making machine that defined my late teens and early 20s. Were you directly involved with the greatest rapper of all time (Biggie) on Life After Death?
8. How did you become involved with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross? The Social Network soundtrack might be the best film score of the past 15 years and again, your mix is incredible. What is the creative process like with a genius like Reznor?
9. Do you still have any contact with Duran Duran and have there ever been further conversations about the release of Reportage?
10. In the current political climate, do you think that the rumored political content of Reportage might be relevant once again?
