Except an ever increasing number of liberals, famous and not are endorsing him. He is the most popular candidate. Saying he will not win is another discussion. There's enough voter fraud underfoot already. Shows the love of democracy among people that they won't bring it up when it's the other guy that gets affected. When Bush stole the election it was a hot topic.

Obama's going to get re-elected anyway. The GOP blew it and didn't run any candidates who can beat him.

Obama's going to get re-elected anyway. The GOP blew it and didn't run any candidates who can beat him. Which I'll say again, I think was on purpose. I don't think it's impossible for any of them to beat Obama, as long as there's no voter fraud. I'm just not thrilled with any of them at the moment. But as they say, ABO.

After last night I doubt Obama will lose. Between all of the things going on between the Republicans and Obama's State Of The Union I think he has it. I am not happy with his decisions but not sure the Republicans would do better. Maybe, maybe not. However, Obama hit the one issue that affects this campaign and that is outsourcing. Whether or not Obama is serious about bringing back jobs is another issue, but if the Republicans show they are opposed to bringing back jobs, they can say they lost. Now all of this is rhetoric and Obama can be just saying it, but outsourcing is a big issue with most independents.

Romney *might* have a chance if 1. Obama makes some huge mistake between now and/or November and b. Romney picks a really popular, sane running mate, someone the GOP can get behind with the thought of "I'm not keen on Romney, but I love (fill in the blank)". McCain might have had a better chance if he hadn't picked Palin. Obama didn't win that election by very much and a better VP pick might have swung things the other way.
The GOP won't choose Gingrich because just the words "President Gingrich" will be enough to send people flocking to the polls to vote against him.

Sue you are right. I do know many Republicans despise Romney because he's way more moderate than they like (and far more moderate than he'd like the world to know). I think he'll go with a very conservative candidate to be honest, and that would scare the independents. If he was to go with a moderate like Olympia Snowe he would pick up a lot of Democrats and women but would lose the Christian Right.
I don't see Obama making any big mistakes between now and then. I think Obama is a very smart guy and he knows what he needs to do.

Romney is no moderate. Moderate as in being bi-partisan for a two party system that thinks alike, yes.
Obama could only win because of a lack of will and a feeling of no choice amongst people. Even so he couldn't win without the media's help because I think like the second Bush election which he lost again, the disenchanted people will stay at home.

Most people just don't vote. Most people who do vote are conditioned to vote certain ways. Personally I vote for the person not the party.

I was just discussing this with my brother (a very conservative person)and he said that he think Mike Huckabee would be a good choice. He said he thinks he's a good choice because he's conservative and says a lot of good things. I don't agree with him on many issues, but I remember him attacking the problem of out of wedlock pregnancies and I respected him for having the guts to go after a societal problem that is destroying our country almost as bad as outsourcing.
This doesn't mean I would vote for him, just throwing this out there because Huckabee seems popular.

Huckabee would be a good choice, but I really think Romney's going to choose a woman. It's a way to make the GOP look inclusive.
