Whoa, whoa whoa....don't be an @ss. The fact is - YOU are the one who posted that crap about how long you've been a fan, as if that was going to substantiate your opinion. It makes ZERO difference how long you've been a fan - that's my whole f*cking point. You're still allowed your opinion regardless of who agrees or doesn't agree. There are people who have been fans way longer than I am, and I'm not saying I'm any bigger of a fan than anyone else - hardly!!! Hell, I don't give a sh*t how long anybody has been a fan. You could have showed up here yesterday off of a turnip truck and I'd still have said you're entitled to your own opinion. GEESH. Get off of your high horse, grab some coffee and settle down[/b] You sound like you are ready for a major cardiac arrest...its only a fckuing record BTW the civilized English drink TEA not coffee!!!!

Can we have enough of the playground antics please guys? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'd glad Rhondar has said why she doesn't like the whole song rather than just saying "Meh, it's garbage" and then not saying why. They're the kind of postings I don't approve of.
Personally? I prefer the chorus as well. The song sounds like a cross between New Moon On Monday and Sunrise, if New Moon On Monday was louder and more energetic. The fact that it doesn't sound as classic as Being Followed or Blame The Machines is not a reason to dislike it either though. It sounds more contemporary than those two tracks but still VERY Duran Duran and VERY Severn & The Ragger Tiger. Love it! ;D

Actually, no - youtube does not have the same quality of sound. I know they *say* they do, but the thing is, every time you take a file and copy it - so say I have the original, I copy it and give it to you, then you copy it and send it to a friend - the file becomes more compressed. It's the way it all works - some information gets lost every time you copy. Something like SoundCloud though - they don't compress files the way that youtube (or MP3's) does/do - so you get a truer sound. I noticed there was a staticy kind of sound behind the entire song on youtube, made it a little irritating to listen to. It could have been my crappy speakers of course, but I have feeling the CD version will sound a lot clearer and enhance the song quite a bit from what we're hearing now. As far as the actual song goes, I admit I don't care much for the verses after the first couple of listens, but the chorus seems to more than make up for it. -Oh, and I agree that the duration and/or intensity of one's fandom shouldn't make any difference in the weight of one's opinion. But I will defend the honor of the "newer" fans if ever need-be.

Love it! ;D Fair enough, I shouldn't have brought it up in the first place, I'm still a ''newbie''' on these boards, and didn't want to get ''flamed'' so thats my reasoning. I would pretty much agree with your description of AYNIN single, it has a NMOM vibe in the chorus for sure crossed with a bit of ''sunrise''.

This song is GREAT!!! I love it. This is a direct hit. Can't wait to hear a high quality version in my headphones. Obviously, your mileage may vary, but I think it's freaking terrific. This is the best I've heard from DD since Medazzaland. Sunrise is the only other song since 1997 that I really loved. Who knows what the market is like or if the general public will be interested but this is top notch work that could be a smash.

I think that it was intentionally distorted just to get people out there a taste of what the song will sound like but the real deal will sound much betterIntentionally distorted by whom? ?? apple? NO it must be the band and they must have ''leaked'' this track themselves to whet the appetite of us the fans!

NO it must be the band and they must have ''leaked'' this track themselves to whet the appetite of us the fans! Yup, I think someone working for the band did it as I doubt the iTunes version sounds like that. Besides, if the band didn't do it, why would they allow it to stay on YouTube when they could get it removed real quick... Excellent point, if the band didn't want it up there it would be lolng gone by now. So looks like I was too hasty in dismissing the track, as the official version may still be unreleased. That would mean those ''lucky'' enough to get hold of and pay full price for the track may have a ''dud' version how ironic would that be !!!!

I'm not sure the track which people downloaded from iTunes would be a dud but you never know. After all the single art which was shown on iTunes was a dud as nick tweeted that they had just finished the single Art a couple of hours ago.

I was going to find somewhere to post how much I like the new song and came across this thread! LOL!
Well, I was a little underwhelmed by just the chorus snippets we all had been hearing, but after listening to it all in context I think it's great! I actually think the verses being that different help the song overall. It makes it less predictable. This makes me very excited about the rest of the album.
However, I still don't think it sounds like Rio or post-Rio or SATRT or whatever they're claiming. It sounds very Astronaut-y to me, but done much much better! ;D
