Having tasted a few varieties I wish we could get them here!!! The australian girl guide cookies are awful!!! I saw the girl on Ellen - wonder how many more she sold in the foyer? Red

Thin Mints are my absolute favorite but I'm going to stay away this year. I can eat an entire box in a matter of hours...to the exclusion of other food that day. It's not the healthiest of moves on my part...

I love Samoas, but at $3.50 a box (and only about 35¢ of that goes to the Girl Scouts) I'll probably just send them a donation this year so they can use ALL the money. $3.50 for 15 or 16 cookies (in the case of the Samoas) is a bit steep...

You get to specify what kind??? In Canada, the Girl Guides sell chocolate covered mint cookies in the Fall and then Sandwich type cookies (chocolate and vanilla) in the Spring...that's it!
When I was a leader it drove me crazy..people would want whatever kind we weren't selling and would always say "come back when you are selling the other kind"!

When my girls sold them they got 50 cents per box for their troop the rest went to the cookie making and to the local councel for the up keep of the camps and what nots of the local councel. I do think these girls deserve more money per box as they are the ones selling the darn things.

I plan to buy a couple of boxes of my favorite cafe cookies (similar to snickerdoodles) and the new sugar-free brownie bites.

When we sold them, our unit received all of the profits...it was the only money we got to do activities etc., so it was important!
