I can't believe how cheap some of you are..complaining about $9..what is that, a couple of Big Macs? The same price as a movie ticket, and this is something you can have for the rest of your life and enjoy for years and years. Support the band, buy the Itunes and the CD and go to a concert. Do you want them to still be making great music in the future? A small price to pay for great returns. lol. I agree. I will buy both as well. Hopefully for the "cheap" or broke people on here, you guys can hopefully buy the individual songs on itunes when they come out in 2011(the 4 or 5 tracks not on the 12/21 release). This way you pay 9.99 now and 4 or 5 dollars in February.

So not to inflate things, BUT, here's all this talk about "they're extortionists" and yes, I'm paraphrasing but basically there are some that are mad that "boo hoo" Duran is trying to make a buck....and I'll say who isn't to that. They have every right to try and make a buck or two from what they create. It's not an exuberant amount of money and I know everyone is watching their coins these days. BUT, if folks are complaining about having to buy a few versions of the album, then my god what's going to happen when there's a tour? Will I see them saying "I'm going to 3 shows!" or will you (general "you") be only going to one because they're again being "extortionists"? Obvious exceptions for those who can only attend one due to budgets and locations. Just wondering because I'm wondering if the same argument in some form will be happening then. And as for folks who have downloaded and will not buy I will be in the same camp as those who say it's stealing. It's theft pure & simple. If you have done it & WILL buy (someone pointed out there's a difference between saying & doing & I agree 100%) then fine. I have not. I intend to wait for the 21st & the physical.

I think it sucks. I don't like the intentions behind it. I'll pay for the CD release and the vinyl release because I'm a collector. But I'm not giving them 9 bucks in advance. fcku that. Based on your reply , it has become obvious to ME why you have chosen to be a member of a free site ;D

Based on your reply , it has become obvious to ME why you have chosen to be a member of a free site ;D Because 99.9% of forums are free? Spacebird , at the end of the day it's about dollar and cents . Yes , the band want's us all to love their material , and i most definitely do . But all bullshit aside , the same as you , the same as me and the same as everyone , they need to put food on the table . Simple as that . So , if you were in their shoes , wouldn't you realease as many f___ing versions of the same f___ing song as you possibly could ? There's alot of passionate dummies out there who are going to buy every tiny thing that they fart out . And the same goes for every band . Just enjoy their music and be happy .

They never have to work a day again in order to put food on the table. Really ??!! So here's a question for you ........why did they feel the need to go against everything that they're about and go with the hottest producer at the time , Mr Timbaland ? The answer , Rockbird ; to go beyond the typical Duran fan and appeal to the masses . And sadly , it failed miserably to you , me and any potential fan . And a far as putting food on the table goes , your standards , my standards , and the band's standards , are 3 very different things . See my point ?

Uh, I love RCM. -- And Randal, no I don't expect them to do it for free. But I don't think it makes sense to make fans pay 10 bucks for inferior quality files. But RCM was never supposed to be about you , the avg Duran fan .

Still would have preferred it on Amazon at a discounted price. I would pay $4.99 for the nine-track version of the digital album. But 10 bucks? Nope. If that's the standard value, then I want perfect quality. The cost would only be $7.92 for anyone who got the free iTunes download of AYNIN... or you could skip Safe and get the rest for $6.93
