Oh, sorry. Yes you're right. My guess would be McGonnagal. At least I would hope so.
I'm on my first re-read. So far, it's better the second time around (seems impossible). I can spot things now that didn't mean much the first time. I am going nice and slow. I made it through Hedwig's death with no tears this time. I know though that I will bawl again soon enough.
I think from the time Fred died until I finished the book, I was a complete wreck. I knew that Snape loved Lily, but I didn't know how much he loved her and did so until his dying day. And the fact that he NEVER, EVER let on to Voldemort that he was working against him was incredible. Yeah Snape!

I thought they explained Petunia very well. Jeolosy is a great motivator...
My son wouldn't wait for it to go on ITunes, so I bought an audio-copy as well. We'll start it tomorrow morning on our way to camp; it's a great way to spend the time.

Wow. What a thrilling ride!
I just KNEW JK couldn't kill off Harry! Nor Ron or Hermione.
Bravo, JKR! Well done!

I was actually very saddened by Dobby, but then I love the idea of an unlikely hero.
And Fred was rough for me. And they didn't say who's dad Victorie was, but I assume it's Bill's and Fleur's.
Nor do we know what happened with Luna.

What about adult Harry's occupation? My guess is that he became the Minister of Magic. Anyone else?
Oops. edit spelling. Still bleary eyed and light headed from so much reading.

I think Harry has such bad feelings about the Ministry that he would be hard-pressed to become Minister. However, it is obvious he does not have it in him to abuse the authority of the post, so maybe.
We were supposed to learn about some marriages amongst the teachers at Hogwarts. That never surfaced.
I'm on page 170 of my re-read and I take back everything I said about the beginning of the book. I must have been tired or something. It is perfect. There are a few lines of dialog that seemed a bit...juvenile I guess, but it's okay.

Just finished a couple of hours ago... LOVED IT. I am amazed at how well she tied up the loose ends.
As for who could do magic later in life? My guess is she meant Crabbe... he cast the fiendfyre that destroyed the tiara horcrux (and himself) . We were told several times that he and Goyle were never very good at magic. Anyone agree?

No, I don't think so. He was never very bright, but he could do magic. I'm sure she will clear this up in the coming weeks. I want answers!

I loved it.I also cryed while reading it at several places. When Fred died it hit me hard.I have read some reviews from others who have read it and some think that JK whimmped out with the ending.I personally thought she did a great job.I think what alot of adults seem to forget that even though we love to read these books they are still childrens books. There were a few questions I would have liked answered but thats life.

I remember being told we would know what Harry's parents did for a living... that's still an unknown. And I'd like to know what Harry, Ron, and Hermione (and Ginny) did for a living in the Epilogue.
