I believe the Dursleys went into hiding & were kept safe. Hermione's parents too. I thought Hagrid survived.
I'm not sure about the baby either, maybe it represented Voldemort's soul.

I figured the baby is the piece of Voldemort that lived inside Harry... and it looked so flayed and horrible because Harry was willing to die which Voldemort wasn't. I know the Dursley's went into hiding, but I was just hoping we could find out more about the end of their story line. I think Hagrid did survive, but what has become of him? He sort of just dropped Harry out of his arms then that was that. We didn't read about him again.
Great book though. It was a page turner. I miss it... I actually think I am mourning the end of Harry.

In the Epilogue Harry and Ginny are telling their kids to remember tea with Hagrid the day after they get to school, so it looks like he stayed on at Hogwarts.....

Didnt baby Lupin live with Harry and Ginny? That dying baby I too believe to be Voldemort I'm guessing he either lived with Bill & Fleur or Ted Tonks. Ginny was still in school when the parents died, she would have been to young to adopt him. He may have come to live with them later though. |

Tonks leaves Teddy with his grandmother, JKR says he is raised by her and in contact with many members of the order in sort of an anti story to the way harry was raised. It's worth going on mugglenet.com and reading the transcript of JKR's webchat that she did last week and of her NBC interview. She answers a lot of epilogue questions.
For example, she says that ron and harry become aurors and revolutionize the department. Ginny, plays professional quidditch for several years for the holy head harpies before retiring to raise a family. Hermione joins the ministry in the dept of magical law enforcement.
